Verdanterra conducted a comprehensive biological assessment along a 13-mile long corridor in support of Xcel Energy’s proposed rebuild and upgrade project. This project location was generally located between the cities of Ashland, Wisconsin and Ironwood, Michigan, within the territorial boundary of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Tribe (Bad River Reservation).
The field efforts were extensive. They included a number of specific surveys as well as collecting general information concerning disturbance, pole data, and access road location and adequacy. Verdanterra prepared a set of deliverables that included georeferenced photos embedded in electronic mapping as well as standard printed map sets.
