Verdanterra is currently looking for an experienced civil engineer/project manager to join our renewables team. This position will support our team in managing, designing and permitting of solar generation facilities throughout the United States. This manager will join other leaders in the group as they work to complete projects, integrate our multi-discipline approach, and develop more market share within the renewables marketplace. The position works closely with our clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate would be willing to commute or relocate to either of our offices in Madison, Wisconsin or Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. A remote position may be considered for an experienced candidate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and staff allocation plans, while aligning with engineering standards and best practices.
• Work closely with clients to understand their engineering requirements, address technical concerns, and ensure alignment with project expectations and objectives.
• Assist the engineering team in the design, development, and construction of solar projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Guide the preparation of, and provide QA/QC review on, engineering deliverables including stormwater calculations, plan drawings, and permit applications.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations to support permit applications and project approvals.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and best practices in stormwater management and erosion control for energy projects.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the project team, including engineers, surveyors, and environmental scientists to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of stormwater management principles, practices, and methods.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to stormwater management and erosion control for energy projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and other relevant software applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsk
• High level of integrity with a strong emphasis on making and meeting commitments.

Required Background:

• Bachelor (B.S.) degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in project engineering, preferably in support of solar projects

We are seeking a motivated individual to fill an open position as an environmental scientist. This position will team with other staff to conduct environmental field assessments and complete technical reports. This position involves conducting ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects, which will include site inspections, research and interviews, data review and interpretation, and report writing. The position also will involve completing Tier I level technical reviews of various environmental assessment reports, workplans, and other environmental-related documentation. Verdanterra is looking for a Survey/CAD Technician to join our team based in Canonsburg, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible, motivated, flexible, and organized with a strong work ethic and ability to perform their duties with minimal supervision. Candidates must be dedicated to working in a safety-first environment. This position is primarily an office survey position however candidates may be expected to perform field tasks and support other services lines as appropriate. Projects will be located primarily in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia but travel in support of projects located in other regions may be necessary.

Qualifications:

Survey/CAD Technician will be responsible for CAD drafting and survey field support using Autodesk Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software. Technicians should be proficient with Civil 3D have a knowledge of the technical requirements of land surveying. Additional qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Minimum of two years of experience with various types of land survey projects and/or CAD drafting/design in support of energy projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office Products.
• Familiarity with Total Station and Survey Grade GPS equipment a plus.
• Knowledge of survey tasks associated to Oil & Gas projects including pipeline route development, well pad/unit surveys and construction preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a positive, cooperative attitude.

Duties:

• Create survey plans, pipeline alignment sheets, detailed construction drawings, crossing drawings, permit drawings, and other exhibits.
• Deed research, plotting, data processing, drafting, etc.
• Assemble deliverable packages as specified by the client or Verdanterra project manager.
• Function as a supporting crew member as needed.

Requirements:

Verdanterra is currently hiring multiple Senior Land Agent positions within our Land Services team. We provide land and real estate services to support a variety of small and large-scale development projects, including renewable energy, electric transmission and oil & gas projects. Senior Land Agent will perform all aspects of right-of-way and real estate related activities, negotiate favorable terms for various land and right of way related agreements secured on behalf of the client, including the acquisition, relinquishment and modification of easements, fee land purchases, permit rights, encroachments resolutions and settlements of damage claims. The position requires right-of-way acquisition, title and property management, relocation, and land valuation skills.
